We have sold this system for years with great results. If you wish, you can utilize an AC appliance timer to shut off the fence charger during the day in order to avoid mishaps. The fence charger produces a higher charge than the LG1 Garden Protector, therefore will penetrate the fur of the animal much easier and thereby produce greater psychological results in keeping the animal away. With the fencer plugged into the AC wall outlet, you don't have to worry about batteries getting weak or running out.
