All About Me

Eugene Sidlar B.A., B. Ed., OCT is an elementary school teacher at Arthur Public School in Arthur, Ontario, Canada. His current teaching assignment for the 2012/2013 school year is a grade 4&5 combined class.

EDUCATION

Mr. Sidlar attended Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario. He graduated with an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in History. He specialized in Canadian history, completing two 4th year seminar papers on Canadian heroism before and after 1900.

Mr. Sidlar attended the Faculty of Education at Brock University, and graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree. He recieved his certificate of qualification from the Ontario College of Teachers on June 09, 2004, and is certified to instruct in the junior and intermediate divisions.

HOBBIES AND INTERESTS

Mr. Sidlar is interested in military and aviation history. He spends some of his spare time as a Reserve Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force, serving as an instructor with 895 Fred Campbell Royal Canadian Air Cadet Squadron in Mount Forest, Ontario. He currently occupies the positions of Administration Officer and Operations Officer.

This year, Mr. Sidlar is undertaking to complete his Basic Officer Training Course (BOTC) on weekends from August till October. On completion of this course, Officer Cadet Sidlar will be one step closer to recieving his promotion to the rank of Second Lieutenant and his Queen's Commission.

Mr. Sidlar also enjoys working on creative hobbies that include scale plastic model building, carpentry and cabinet-making, as well as culinary arts.

FAMILY

Mr. Sidlar lives in Mount Forest with his wife, Andrea and their daughter, Elizabeth. They all share their home with their great pyrenees dog, Fleury, and their cat, Pishla. To relax, they enjoy hosting friends and family for dinner, or escaping for a camping trip in their trailer.
